Police in Newark are on the scene of a shooting that happened in the city's South Ward.
According to police, at approximately 7:20 p.m., two victims walked into Beth Israel Hospital suffering injuries from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victims told authorities that the shooting happened in the area of Keer Ave. and Leslie Street a short time before they arrived to the hospital.
One of the victims is reported struck to the chest while the other is struck to the groin according to reports. Their injuries are not reported to be life threatening at this present time.
Authorities are searching the area for a possible crime scene.

UPDATE 7:40 p.m. There is a person that just walked into University Hospital suffering a gunshot wound. It is unknown where this person was injured at. We are not sure if this shooting is connected.
