Serious Injuries for Victim of Orange Shooting

An early morning shooting in Orange sent one person to the hospital and has police investigating.

Police in Orange responded to several reports of shots fired that rang out in the 300 block of Jackson Street shortly before 2 a.m.

Units arriving to the scene located a male victim shot and seriously injured at that location.

The victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark where he was listed in serious condition.

There were no reports of an arrest as police setup a crime scene in the area, collecting several pieces of evidence.

The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
