Police in Trenton are investigating an early morning shooting that left a male victim seriously injured in the city.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the the area of East State Street and Chambers Street a little after 2 a.m. where they located the victim suffering injury from apparent gunfire.
EMS transported the victim to Capital Regional Hospital where his injuries were not immediately reported to be life threatening.
Police setup a crime scene in the area where they searched for evidence and a possible suspect.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
