Two late night shootings in Newark has police investigating and suspects on the loose.
Reports of shots fired that rang out in the 70's block of Huntington Terrace shortly before 10 p.m rushed several police units to the scene where they located a male victim suffering injury from gunfire.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where he underwent surgery for injuries that were not reported as life threatening as of 2 a.m. this morning. There were unconfirmed reports of a second victim but could not be located.
Police searched the area for possible suspects involved in the shooting but no one was ever located according to reports.
At around 11:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Seynour Ave. in the city's South Ward, police reported to the area on shot fired 911 calls when they arrived to find a male victim suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he was expected to make a full recovery.
The motives for the shootings are under investigation.
