EMS are transporting a male victim to Universtiy Hospital suffering injury from apparent gunfire.
Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 70's block of Irving Street at around 3:35 p.m. where they arrived to find the victim shot to the side in the basement of a residence.
The was reported to be conscious and alert during his transport.
Police are looking for a blue vehicle possibly a Nissan with temp tags observed leaving the scene.
