Two victims of gunfire that were self-transported to a Newark hospital has authorities investigating.
Police responded to the area of Clinton Ave. and Chadwick Ave. at around 2 a.m. for reports of shots fired where they arrived to find evidence of gunfire but no victim.
A male victim walked into Beth Israel Hospital a short time later suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
At around 2:35 a.m., a second victim reportedly walked into Beth Israel Hospital injured from a shooting that occurred on Lyons Ave. The victim's injuries were not reported to be life threatening.
It is not clear if the shootings are connected.
