Newark police are investigating a shooting incident reported outside a Wendy’s restaurant in the city’s South Ward Saturday evening.
According to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, officers responded to the restaurant in the 400 block of Chancellor Avenue at approximately 5:50 p.m. on October 31, following reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence of gunfire but did not locate any victims.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
