An Atlantic County woman is facing four years in state prison after admitting to assaulting her romantic partner, repeatedly harassing the victim and attempting to flee from police during an arrest.

According to information released by Atlantic County authorities, Dariana Gonzalez-Colon, 32, of Absecon, pleaded guilty on October 23, 2026, to third-degree aggravated assault involving a domestic violence victim, fourth-degree stalking and fourth-degree resisting arrest by flight.
The plea agreement calls for a four-year New Jersey State Prison sentence covering three pending criminal cases.
Authorities said the incidents began on September 15, 2025, when Absecon police responded to New Jersey Avenue and Station Avenue following a report involving a stolen vehicle.
Officers encountered a bystander who had discovered an injured woman on the sidewalk.
Investigators learned that the victim had previously allowed Gonzalez-Colon, her romantic partner, to use her vehicle but later requested its return.
According to officials, Gonzalez-Colon became violent during the disagreement, assaulted the victim and drove away in the vehicle, leaving the injured woman behind.
Weeks later, on October 2, Atlantic City police responded to a domestic dispute at 1501 Atlantic Avenue involving the same victim.
The woman told officers that Gonzalez-Colon had continued harassing her over several days, leaving her fearful for her safety.
Authorities said the investigation continued until October 11, when Absecon officers conducting routine patrol located the victim’s vehicle parked at a Travelodge motel.
After speaking with motel employees, officers learned that the victim had checked out the previous day with Gonzalez-Colon.
Police subsequently located Gonzalez-Colon inside the vehicle and attempted to take her into custody in connection with the September assault.
Despite being informed that she was under arrest, Gonzalez-Colon exited the vehicle and attempted to run from officers.
Police apprehended her following a brief foot pursuit.
Gonzalez-Colon entered her guilty pleas before Superior Court Judge Daniel Kurkowski.
Under the negotiated agreement, she faces a combined four-year state prison sentence for the three cases.
