Police are investigating an afternoon shooting in the city's southward where the victim was fatally injured by gunfire.
Gunfire rang out at around 5:10 p.m. sending police and EMS to the scene where a male victim was shot to the head. Although few details were released by police, officials have confirmed that this incident is being investigated as a homicide at this time. According to initial reports, a black male was last seen running from the area with a red back pack, a white top, and grey sweat pants. Police continue to search for a suspect.
