Emergency crews responded to a late-night pedestrian crash in Morris County that temporarily shut down a portion of Route 206.

According to preliminary information, firefighters and EMS were dispatched shortly before midnight Monday to the area of Route 206 and Patricia Drive in Mount Olive after receiving reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
The incident prompted authorities to close Route 206 while emergency personnel worked at the scene.
An air-medical helicopter was also reportedly placed on standby as crews evaluated the injured pedestrian.
The extent of the pedestrian’s injuries has not been officially confirmed.
Motorists traveling through the area were advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes while the investigation and emergency response continued.
