Newark Police are investigating a potential shots-fired incident that occurred in the city’s West Ward Saturday afternoon.
Shortly before 1:35 p.m., a ShotSpotter device activated in the area of 395 South Orange Avenue, prompting several Newark Police officers to respond to the scene.
Arriving units canvassed the area for possible victims, suspects and evidence connected to the gunfire.
No injuries were reported, and no suspects were located during the initial search.
The incident remains under investigation
