Police launched an investigation after a male was found unresponsive following a shooting in Trenton late Wednesday night.
According to preliminary information, officers responded shortly before 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, to the area of New Rose Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard after receiving reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, police located a male suffering from injuries consistent with a shooting. The victim was reportedly unresponsive at the scene.
EMS rushed the male to a regional hospital while emergency personnel performed CPR during the transport.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or confirmed his current condition.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and no information regarding a possible suspect or motive was immediately available.
