Roselle Police are asking for the public’s help locating a 17-year-old girl who has been missing since July and was reportedly spotted in Newark.
According to information released by the Roselle Police Department, Amiaya Fairley, 17, was captured on surveillance video on July 16 running from her residence and getting into the back seat of an unknown black vehicle before leaving the area.
Police said Amiaya was later spotted by acquaintances near the Family Dollar store at 660 Clinton Avenue in Newark but reportedly ran away.
Authorities said Greensboro, North Carolina, is also being considered as a possible destination.
Amiaya is described as approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and 110 pounds, with a medium complexion and brown box braids.
She was last seen wearing a black hooded zipper sweatshirt, matching black sweatpants with white stripes and New Balance sneakers.
Police said there are no known medical or mental health issues associated with the teen.
