Ewing Man Fatally Shot, Second Victim Injured During Early Morning Gunfire in Trenton

A Mercer County Homicide Task Force investigation is underway following a fatal shooting that left one man dead and another injured during the early morning hours of Sunday in Trenton.

According to a statement released by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, Trenton police officers responded at approximately 3:37 a.m. on August 2 to the 300 block of East State Street after receiving reports of a large disturbance and gunfire.

 

When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck in front of 319 East State Street. 

The victim, identified as 32-year-old Jemear Miller of Ewing, was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

 

Authorities said a second adult male later arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

 

No arrests have been announced as investigators continue working to determine what led to the shooting.
