A Mays Landing man has been sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty to multiple drug distribution offenses stemming from separate arrests in Atlantic City, according to authorities.
Kassan Fundenberg, 31, was sentenced on Tuesday, July 21, before Superior Court Judge Christine Smith.
The three-year prison term will be served concurrently on three counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances with intent to distribute.
According to authorities, the first arrest occurred on December 26, 2025, when Atlantic City police allegedly observed Fundenberg conducting a hand-to-hand drug transaction.
Investigators said he exchanged a small white object believed to be packaged heroin for cash.
The buyer was later found carrying 108 wax folds containing fentanyl, while officers recovered $34 from Fundenberg that was believed to be proceeds from the sale.
Less than a month later, on January 13, 2026, officers reportedly saw Fundenberg drop a plastic bag containing a white rock-like substance consistent with cocaine.
He was taken into custody, and police seized approximately 5.31 grams of cocaine along with $395 in cash.
Fundenberg was arrested again on March 17, 2026, after officers encountered him while he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court.
During that arrest, police recovered 37 wax folds of fentanyl, 12 vials of cocaine, and $47 in cash from his clothing.
He has now been sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison for the drug distribution convictions.
