One Dead, Another Hospitalized After Medical Emergency Response at Belleville Home

One person was found dead and another was taken to a hospital after Belleville police responded to a reported medical emergency Monday afternoon, according to information released by the Belleville Police Department.

Detective Captain John McAloon told RLS Media that Officers were dispatched at approximately 2:55 p.m. on July 27 to a residence in the 400 block of Cortlandt Street.

 

When officers arrived, they discovered an adult male deceased in the basement of the home. A second adult male was found on the second floor of the residence. 

He was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel before being transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

 

 Detective Captain John McAloon have not released the identities of either individual as officials work to notify their next of kin.

 

The circumstances surrounding the death remain under active investigation by the Belleville Police Department Detective Bureau. Police have not disclosed the cause of death or whether foul play is suspected.
