Three Injured in Fourth of July Night Shooting in Passaic

Three people were injured in a shooting Saturday night in Passaic, according to information released by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
 

Authorities said the shooting occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. on July 4 in the area of Essex Street and Third Street. 

Officers with the Passaic Police Department responded after receiving reports of multiple victims struck by gunfire.

 

Police located three victims: a 22-year-old Passaic man, a 19-year-old Passaic woman, and a 34-year-old Passaic man. 

All three were transported to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. Officials did not immediately release the extent of their injuries.
 

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Prosecutors said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
