A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on U.S. Route 22 in Union Friday evening, prompting a large emergency response.
The incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. in the area of the Qdoba restaurant, where firefighters and emergency medical personnel performed CPR on the victim at the scene.
The circumstances leading up to the crash were not immediately available. Police secured the area while emergency crews treated the victim and investigated the incident.
Motorists experienced traffic delays in the area as the investigation remained active.
Authorities have not yet released the identity or condition of the pedestrian.
