Police are investigating a shooting that left a man wounded in Trenton early Sunday morning.
According to preliminary reports, officers responded to the area of Federal Street and Lamberton Street after receiving reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, authorities located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.
The victim was transported to a regional medical center for treatment. Due to the severity of the injuries, a trauma alert was activated.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
Authorities have not announced any arrests.
