Paterson police are investigating a pedestrian strike that left one person critically injured Saturday night.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Third Avenue shortly before 8:30 p.m.
Officers responded to the scene and requested emergency medical personnel to rush to the area after locating an unidentified victim lying in the roadway with severe injuries.
The victim was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities said the individual’s condition was reported as critical.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under active investigation. No additional information was immediately available.
