Residents from across the region are invited to attend Bloomfield’s 6th Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 13, in Bloomfield Center at Glenwood and Washington streets.

Presented by Bloomfield Mayor Jenny Mundell, the Township Council, and the Bloomfield Juneteenth Advisory Committee, the free community event will run from noon to 7 p.m., with a morning worship service beginning at 10:30 a.m.

A rain date has been scheduled for June 20.

The family-friendly celebration will honor freedom, culture, and community through a day of live entertainment, food, education, and fellowship.

Attendees can enjoy performances by local artists, a variety of food trucks, vendors, Black-owned businesses, activities for children and families, and presentations from community leaders and historians highlighting the significance of Juneteenth.

Organizers said the annual event continues to grow in popularity and impact.

More than 2,000 people attended last year’s celebration, and officials expect an even larger turnout this year as residents gather to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States and celebrate the diversity and unity of the Bloomfield community.

Admission is free and open to the public.
