Seption Diggs, 30, was sentenced on May 29 by Judge Dina M. Vicari after pleading guilty in April to distribution of fentanyl.

According to prosecutors, Diggs was identified during a two-month investigation conducted in the summer of 2025 by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force in partnership with the FBI’s Jersey Shore Safe Streets Task Force, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program, and several other law enforcement agencies.

Investigators determined that Diggs was involved in distributing heroin and cocaine throughout Ocean County.

On August 5, 2025, detectives conducting surveillance in Trenton observed Diggs meet with Ahmia Tillery, 27, and enter her vehicle.

Authorities followed the vehicle into Ocean County, where officers from the Jackson Township Police Department conducted a traffic stop.

Diggs and Tillery were taken into custody without incident. A court-authorized search of the vehicle led to the seizure of quantities of heroin and cocaine, authorities said.

In total, investigators recovered approximately 2,580 individual doses of heroin and 59 grams of cocaine during the investigation.

Both Diggs and Tillery were initially charged and lodged in the Ocean County Jail. Diggs remained detained following his arrest.

Prosecutors said that during his guilty plea, Diggs accepted responsibility for the narcotics and cleared Tillery of any involvement in the criminal activity.

As a result, all charges against Tillery were dismissed in the interests of justice.

Authorities noted that Diggs’ guilty plea specifically involved the distribution of fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that continues to play a major role in overdose deaths across New Jersey and the nation.
