According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Mark Hacker, 47, was sentenced Tuesday, May 26, 2026, by Superior Court Judge Donna Taylor to four years in New Jersey State Prison.

The sentence also includes parole supervision for life and Megan’s Law registration requirements.

Authorities said Hacker pleaded guilty in November 2025 to second-degree endangering the welfare of a child involving the distribution of explicit images of minors.

Investigators said the case began on September 11, 2023, after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cyber tip from the messaging application Kik regarding a media file depicting the exploitation of a juvenile female.

According to prosecutors, investigators traced the Kik account that uploaded the file to Hacker.

During the investigation, authorities alleged Hacker shared 10 additional media files depicting juvenile females being exploited.

Investigators recovered a cellphone belonging to Hacker that contained the Kik application, officials said.

However, authorities noted the shared files were not recovered from any of his devices.

During sentencing, the defense requested a suspended sentence instead of prison time, citing Hacker’s medical conditions and lack of prior criminal convictions.

The court ultimately imposed a four-year state prison sentence.
