Juvenile Struck by Gunfire During Overnight Shooting in Paterson

Authorities in Paterson are investigating a shooting that left a teenage boy injured early Tuesday morning.

As of 4:30 a.m., few details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting had been released. 

According to preliminary information, police were dispatched to the 100 block of East Holsman Street at approximately 2:45 a.m. after receiving multiple reports of shots fired in the area.

 

When officers arrived, they found a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound to his back.

 

The unidentified victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. 

Authorities said the teen was listed in stable condition.

Police taped off the area as officers searched for additional victims and a possible suspect. No arrests have been announced at this time.

 

The motive for the shooting remains under active and ongoing investigation.
