Authorities in Passaic County announced that at approximately 3:22 a.m. on May 10, members of the Passaic Police Department responded to the area of Monroe Street and Tulip Street on a report of a victim suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Department Chief Luis A. Guzman stated that police located a 36-year-old male victim from Woodland Park, suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds, inside a parked motor vehicle.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for medical treatment, PCPO officials say.
Later that morning, at approximately 5:57 a.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to the area of 171 Market Street on a report of a motor vehicle struck by gunfire, PCPO officials said.
According to Passaic County officials, police located a damaged parked vehicle with a potential crime scene, indicating a shooting.
The ongoing investigation revealed that the above-referenced victim was struck with gunfire at this location, Passaic County authorities said. 
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
