Robert Strong was sentenced on April 27, 2026, after previously pleading guilty to participating as a leader of a narcotics distribution network that operated across Atlantic County for several years.

Authorities said the organization involved approximately 30 individuals and trafficked cocaine, heroin, and marijuana.

Prosecutors stated the case stemmed from a 77-count indictment that included charges related to drug distribution, unlawful possession of firearms, money laundering, official misconduct, and conspiracy.

As part of a plea agreement, Strong was sentenced to 15 years in state prison, with seven and a half years to be served without the possibility of parole.

Officials said that after entering his guilty plea, Strong was released on pretrial monitoring pending sentencing. During that time, he was arrested again on new weapons and drug charges.

Authorities executed a no-knock search warrant on April 7, 2025, at a residence on West Riverside Drive in Atlantic City, where investigators recovered heroin packaged for distribution, a stolen Glock 9mm handgun with a high-capacity magazine, hollow-point ammunition, and more than $9,500 in cash.

Strong admitted ownership of the narcotics and firearm, officials said. Due to prior convictions for drug distribution, he was prohibited from possessing a weapon.

In connection with the second case, Strong was sentenced to an additional 12-year prison term with a five-year period of parole ineligibility.
