Bomb Scare Prompts Evacuation at Secaucus Office Building

A bomb scare prompted a significant emergency response in Secaucus on Saturday afternoon, after police investigated a suspicious device believed to be an explosive.

According to information released by authorities, officers were dispatched just before 2 p.m. to the area of 425 Meadowlands Parkway following reports of a potentially dangerous device inside a building’s parking area.

 

In a public message shared on social media during the incident, police advised: “We are currently investigating the possibility of an explosive in the below parking lot,” while urging residents and motorists to avoid the area.
 

As a precaution, the immediate vicinity was evacuated. 

 

Officials emphasized that there was no danger to nearby residential neighborhoods.

 

The Jersey City Police Department Bomb Squad responded to the scene and conducted a thorough sweep of the area. 

 

Authorities later confirmed that no explosives were found and the scene was cleared.


 

The area has since been deemed safe, and normal activity has resumed. The incident remains under review.
