A Bergen County daycare teacher has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged assault of a young child, according to a press release from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities identified the suspect as Seunghee Nam, 44, of Englewood.
The charges stem from an investigation launched after the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency alerted officials to a reported incident involving a juvenile at a daycare center in Palisades Park.
Investigators determined that the alleged incident occurred on March 12, 2026, when Nam, who was employed as a teacher at the facility, is accused of assaulting and endangering the child, resulting in significant injuries.
Following the investigation, Nam was taken into custody on March 23 in Englewood.
She was charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree aggravated assault.
Officials said Nam was processed and lodged in the Bergen County Jail before making an initial court appearance in Superior Court.
She has since been released pending further court proceedings.
