Police in Trenton are investigating a shooting that left one person injured Saturday evening.
Just before 5 p.m., gunfire erupted in the area of 1026 South Broad Street, prompting a swift response from officers.
Upon arrival, police located an unidentified male suffering from a gunshot wound to his back.
Emergency medical personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in serious but stable condition and is expected to survive.
Authorities secured the area with crime scene tape as detectives began their active and ongoing investigation. No other injuries were reported.
As of Saturday night, no arrests have been made.
