Three Trenton men have been arrested in connection with a residential burglary at an occupied home in Montgomery Township, according to a statement from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said the incident occurred around 10:53 p.m. on December 16, 2025, when Montgomery Township police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a burglary in progress on Remy Court.
The caller reported hearing suspicious noises and discovering broken glass from a basement window.
Responding officers located a suspect, later identified as Devoris Daniels, 20, of Trenton, in the driveway of the home.
Authorities said Daniels fled on foot after refusing commands to stop, re-entered the residence through the broken basement window, and was later found hiding in a closet, where he was taken into custody.
A Somerset County Sheriff’s K-9 unit assisted in the search for additional suspects.
Detectives later determined two more individuals were involved and that a 2022 Nissan Altima was used during the burglary.
Investigators located the vehicle in Trenton and arrested Mekai Wright, 24, after a brief foot pursuit following a motor vehicle stop.
A third suspect, Lloyd Beard-Julius, 30, was identified through the investigation and arrested on January 28, 2026, by Mount Laurel police on unrelated charges. He was subsequently served with a Somerset County warrant.
Authorities said Daniels was charged with second-degree burglary of an occupied structure and fourth-degree resisting arrest. Wright was charged with second-degree burglary, criminal mischief, and obstruction.
Beard-Julius faces charges of second-degree burglary and criminal mischief.
Daniels and Wright were remanded to the Somerset County Jail pending detention hearings, while Beard-Julius was remanded to the Burlington County Jail awaiting court proceedings in Somerset County.
