Detectives in Kearny are searching for suspects following a reported armed robbery late Monday night.
According to preliminary information, officers were dispatched just before 11:30 p.m. to the area of Quincy Avenue and Forest Street after receiving reports of an armed robbery in progress.
When police arrived, they located victims who reported that three male suspects approached them while armed with weapons and demanded personal belongings.
The victims told officers that cash and cell phones were taken before the suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Police canvassed the surrounding neighborhood in an effort to locate the suspects, but no arrests had been announced as of early Tuesday.
The incident remains under investigation, and additional details have not yet been released. 
Authorities say more information will be provided as it becomes available from the Kearny Police Department.
