Bergen County authorities are investigating a violent shooting that left a woman seriously injured early Sunday morning in Englewood.
According to officials, the incident occurred shortly before 3:55 a.m. inside a residence located in the 90 block of Charles Street.
Police were dispatched to the scene after reports of gunfire and, upon arrival, found a female victim suffering from gunshot wounds to her back and arm.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Authorities said her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
A suspect was taken into custody at the scene, and a weapon was recovered by responding officers.
The Englewood Police Department responded alongside Bergen County authorities as the investigation unfolded.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined, and the investigation remains active.
