The Kean University Police Department, with assistance from Union County law enforcement agencies, has declared the Nancy Thompson Learning Commons safe following a reported threat on campus earlier this afternoon.

Authorities said the building was thoroughly searched and no danger was found.
After the investigation was completed, law enforcement cleared the facility, allowing the campus to return to normal operations.
University officials announced that the Nancy Thompson Learning Commons will reopen and resume normal activity on Tuesday morning.
School officials thanked students, faculty, and staff for their cooperation and patience during the police response as the situation was carefully assessed.
No injuries were reported, and the incident remains under review as a precautionary matter.
