Police are investigating a New Year’s Day shooting that left a juvenile injured in Newark.
According to officials, at approximately 8:49 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2026, a 17-year-old male arrived at University Hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to his foot.
The injury was reportedly sustained in the area of 200 Georgia King Village.
The teen is listed in stable condition.
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and how the incident unfolded. No additional details were immediately available.
