Authorities in Ocean County announced that on December 16, Logan Oliveira, 23, of Toms River, pled guilty to Distribution and Possession of Explicit Materials Involving Minors before the Honorable Dina M. Vicari, J.S.C.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that at the time of his sentencing on February 20, 2026, the State will be seeking a term of five years in New Jersey State Prison (NJSP) with a five-year period of parole ineligibility as to the distribution charge and five years in NJSP as to the possession charge.

The sentences are to run concurrently, OCPO officials say. Oliveira will also be subject to Parole Supervision for Life and will be required to register as a Megan’s Law Offender.

According to Ocean County officials, this investigation was the result of a referral from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

The ICAC Task Force received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual was uploading and distributing Explicit Materials Involving Minors to the internet across various internet platforms, Ocean County authorities say.

OCPO officials stated that an investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad identified a cell phone number associated with a Toms River residence as the location from which an individual was uploading and distributing Explicit Materials Involving Minors.

That individual was ultimately identified as Oliveira, OCPO officials say. The investigation further revealed that Oliveira often communicated and sent messages to another cell phone number, which belonged to Julianna Goldstein, 20, of Berkeley Township.

A review of various messages between Oliveira and Goldstein revealed that Goldstein was sending nude photos of juveniles to Oliveira, OCPO officials said.

Ocean County officials said it was also learned that Oliveira instructed Goldstein to touch a juvenile in an inappropriate manner and send photos of the inappropriate touching to Oliveira.

According to Ocean County officials, on April 29, Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad, Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and Toms River Township Police Department executed a court-authorized search warrant on Oliveira’s residence in Toms River.

An initial forensic examination of Oliveira’s electronic devices led to the discovery of several items of Explicit Materials Involving Minors. Oliveira was taken into custody at the residence without incident. He was transported to the Ocean County Jail, Ocean County officials stated.

Although initially released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform, OCPO officials say, Oliveira has been lodged in the Ocean County Jail since June 12, 2025, for violating the terms of his release.

On that same date, Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad, Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and Berkeley Township Police Department executed court-authorized search warrants on Goldstein’s residence in Berkeley Township.

OCPO authorities said that an initial forensic examination of Goldstein’s electronic devices led to the discovery of several items of Explicit Materials Involving Minors. Goldstein was taken into custody at the residence without incident.

Goldstein was charged with Distribution of Explicit Materials Involving Minors, Possession of Explicit Materials Involving Minors, Manufacturing Explicit Materials Involving Minors, Conspiracy to Manufacture Explicit Materials Involving Minors, and Criminal Explicit Contact, according to Ocean County officials.

Ocean County officials said she was likewise transported to the Ocean County Jail and subsequently released under New Jersey Bail Reform.

The charges against Goldstein remain pending.
