Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 71-year-old Imri Osmani of Little Ferry following an investigation into allegations that he sexually assaulted a minor over a two-year period.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit—led by Chief Matthew Finck—and the Little Ferry Police Department, under Chief James Walters, authorities were alerted on June 15, 2025, to reports of past sexual assaults involving a minor.
Investigators determined that Osmani allegedly assaulted and endangered the victim on multiple occasions in Little Ferry between May 2018 and May 2020.
As a result of the investigation, Osmani was charged on July 3, 2025 with:
• First-degree aggravated sexual assault (N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1))
• Second-degree sexual assault (N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b)
• Two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor (N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1))
On Sunday, November 16, 2025, Osmani was located and taken into custody in Newark with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations, the Port Authority Police Department of NY & NJ, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

He was transported to the Bergen County Jail, where he remains pending a detention hearing in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
