A woman remains in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Friday night in Bernards Township, according to a statement released by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities said that around 8:27 p.m. on October 31, 2025, Bernards Township Police were called to the intersection of Allen Road and Vanderveer Drive for a report of a pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle.
Investigators determined that a Bedminster Township resident driving a 2025 Toyota RAV4 westbound on Allen Road struck a 42-year-old Basking Ridge woman who was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk.
Emergency responders treated the victim at the scene before she was transported to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
The crash remains under active investigation.
