The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a shooting that brought a victim to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center late Sunday night.
Authorities said that just before 9:50 p.m., hospital staff notified police when a male gunshot victim entered the emergency room with a bullet wound.
Officers responded and began canvassing areas along East 25th Street after the victim reported being shot by a suspect described as a Black male wearing a black ski mask and dark clothing.
The gunman fled the scene.
Officials said the victim’s injuries were reported as non-life threatening.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
