Authorities say a suspect was swiftly taken into custody following a bold afternoon bank robbery in Cherry Hill.

According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Cherry Hill Police Chief John Ostermueller, the incident happened  on Thursday, October 9, 2025, just before 4:40 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the TD Bank on Grove Street after receiving reports of a robbery in progress.

Investigators determined that the suspect had entered the bank around 4:36 p.m., written a demand note on a deposit slip, and passed it to a teller.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, the suspect fled the building on foot.

Police quickly canvassed the surrounding area.

By approximately 4:50 p.m., officers spotted a man on the 700 block of Grove Street matching the description provided.

The individual, identified as 45-year-old Nathaniel Stroud Jr., was apprehended without incident. Officers recovered the stolen money in his possession and later discovered clothing items matching the suspect’s outfit discarded in a nearby trash can.

Detectives from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Cherry Hill Police Department continued the investigation into the case.

Stroud, who previously resided in Trenton and Florence, now faces a charge of 2nd-degree Robbery.

He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending court proceedings.
