Authorities are investigating a Saturday morning shooting in Passaic after gunfire was reported in a neighborhood, though no victims were immediately located, officials said.
According to police, the incident occurred around 3:10 a.m. in the 20 block of Parker Avenue.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired and, upon arrival, found at least one shell casing and other evidence confirming that gunfire had occurred.
Police canvassed the area but did not locate any suspects or victims.
Out of caution, regional hospitals were advised to be on alert for any potential walk-in gunshot victims.
As of 4:30 a.m., no injuries had been reported. The incident remains under active investigation.
