Three Willingboro Men Charged in Fatal Shooting

Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Willingboro Township Police Chief Ian Bucs announced that three men have been charged in the August 10,  fatal shooting of a Trenton resident in the Pennypacker Park section of the township.

According to investigators, 43-year-old Bruce Hall Jr. was sitting inside a parked pickup truck near Paddock Lane and Poppy Turn when he was shot around 9 p.m. 

 

Officers arrived to find Hall deceased at the scene.

 

The suspects, identified as Elijah B. Ervin, 33, Shaheed L. Ervin, 39, and Earl T. Johnson, 29, all of Willingboro, were charged with first-degree murder, first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, and multiple second-degree weapons offenses.

 

Elijah Ervin was arrested on August 12 and Shaheed Ervin on August 26. Both were lodged in the Burlington County Jail and ordered detained following Superior Court hearings. 

Johnson was taken into custody September 17 at a Philadelphia residence and placed in the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility pending extradition to New Jersey.

 

The case remains under investigation by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Willingboro Township Police Department.
