Authorities in Trenton are searching for a suspect involved in an early morning shooting that left one man injured in front of a local Chinese store.
According to preliminary reports, gunfire erupted around 1:40 a.m. Thursday on the 700 block of Edgewood Avenue, near 215 North Heritage Plaza.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

The injured man was quickly transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he is currently being treated and is expected to survive.
Police canvassed the surrounding neighborhood but found no additional victims. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the motive behind the shooting remains under active investigation.
