The Osborn Cannonball House Museum will welcome visitors for two special events this October, offering a chance to explore local history and honor early American heritage.

Located at 1840 Front Street, the museum will be open on Sunday, October 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as part of Scotch Plains Day.

It will also participate in Union County’s “Four Centuries in a Weekend” on Saturday and Sunday, October 18–19, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A special exhibit titled “NJ Passengers Aboard the RMS Titanic” will be featured, showcasing replicas of items used aboard the famous ship.

The museum’s antique clothing collection will also be on display, with mannequins dressed in Edwardian-era styles to represent first, second, and third class passengers.

Visitors can enjoy guided tours led by costumed docents through the 1750 home of the Osborn family, who were eyewitnesses to the Revolutionary War and played a part in the founding of Scotch Plains.

Families attending the “Four Centuries in a Weekend” celebration will also find a children’s craft activity tent and early Halloween treats to enjoy.

Admission is free, and all are welcome to take part in this unique opportunity to explore the town’s colonial roots and timeless traditions.
