Authorities in Passaic County announce that at approximately 5:01 a.m. on September 8, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Lakeview Avenue and 23rd Avenue on a report of a shooting.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes stated that police located a 34-year-old male victim from Paterson, suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound, Passaic County officials stated.
According to Passaic County officials, the victim was transported via ambulance to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area, PCPO officials say.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, Passaic County authorities said. More information will be released once it becomes available.
