Authorities in Passaic County are investigating a shots-fired incident that caused property damage near a Clifton entertainment venue early Sunday morning.According to police, gunfire erupted around 2:25 a.m. near the Sports Zone on Van Houten Avenue.

Officers responded swiftly after receiving reports of shots being fired in the area.

Upon arrival, they discovered several shell casings and a parked vehicle that bullets had struck. No one was inside the car at the time of the shooting.

Initial findings suggest that approximately four rounds were discharged before the suspect fled the scene.

Investigators now believe the incident may be connected to a recent armed robbery in Paterson involving suspects in a gold Nissan Murano.

Authorities are working to determine whether the vehicle seen during Sunday’s incident matches the one used in the earlier robbery.

No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Clifton Police or the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
