Person Severely Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in Paterson

A serious pedestrian strike in Paterson Friday night left one person critically injured and has prompted an investigation by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. near the intersection of East 25th Street and 10th Avenue. 

Emergency responders arrived on the scene to find an unidentified individual unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from severe injuries.

First responders performed CPR at the scene before rushing the victim to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment. 

As of early Saturday morning, the individual’s condition remains unknown and their identity has not been publicly released.

Officials have not disclosed the circumstances surrounding the incident or whether a vehicle remained at the scene. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

Authorities are expected to release more details as the case develops.
