Bergen County officials reported the arrest of 25-year-old Ryan J. Curtin of Oakland on charges of production of explicit images of minors and invasion of privacy.
According to a statement released by Prosecutor Mark Musella, in April 2025, the Ramsey Police Department responded to Tiger Schulman’s Martial Arts at 885 Route 17 South in Ramsey to recover a hidden camera discovered inside the publicly accessible restroom of the establishment.
An investigation by the Ramsey Police Department revealed that Curtin, an employee of the business, placed the camera in the restroom and recorded at least one adult patron.
Officials said Cuttin was arrested and charged with one count of third-degree invasion of privacy, and released pending further court action.
The Ramsey Police Department notified the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit of the incident. Detectives from both the Cyber Crimes Unit and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Digital Forensics Lab continued the investigation into the hidden camera activity.
Prosecutor Mark Musella said the investigation revealed that Curtin placed the hidden camera in the female restroom and recorded multiple victims, including children, in various stages of undress while they utilized the bathroom.

As a result of the additional investigation, Ryan J. Curtin was arrested on Wednesday, August 13, in Paramus, NJ.
