The City of Linden is once again setting the stage—literally and figuratively—for a summer to remember.
The 2025 Linden Summer Entertainment Series is underway at the Raymond Wood Bauer Promenade, delivering a dynamic lineup of music and performances that highlight the city’s ongoing commitment to culture, community, and safety.
Organized by Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, the Linden Department of Parks and Recreation, and Uptown Linden, Inc., the concert series is more than just music.
It’s a celebration of Linden’s remarkable progress in building a stronger, safer city for its residents.
A Season of Sound
The Summer Entertainment Series began on May 22 and runs through September 25, transforming Wednesday nights into high-energy community gatherings. Each show is free and open to the public, offering a broad mix of genres including Motown, jazz, rock, house, reggae, and more.
Each event brings hundreds of residents downtown, creating a positive and festive atmosphere that uplifts the city’s spirit.
The concert series also reflects the city’s broader success in public safety. Under the leadership of Mayor Armstead and Linden Police Department officials, crime in Linden has seen a significant decline over the past year.
Residents have praised the town’s commitment to crime prevention, increased community policing, and youth engagement programs—all of which have contributed to safer streets and a stronger sense of unity.
“Our streets are safer, our downtown is thriving, and our residents are engaged,” said Mayor Armstead in a recent statement.
