UPDATE: Suspects Wanted for Newark South Ward Shooting

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two men wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on Thursday, June 19.

According to officials, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 7:12 p.m. in the 800 block of Clinton Avenue.

Although no victims were found at the scene and no injuries have been reported, investigators did recover several shell casings in the area.

Surveillance footage capturing the two suspects has been obtained by detectives, and authorities are now asking for the public’s help in identifying them.
