Two pedestrians were seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on a busy roadway in Edison Wednesday night, authorities said.
Emergency responders rushed to the intersection of NJ Route 27 and Paterson Avenue shortly before 9:50 p.m. following reports of a pedestrian crash.
Upon arrival, police and EMS units found both victims unconscious at the scene.

First responders administered CPR to at least one of the individuals before transporting both to a nearby hospital.
They are reportedly in serious condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Edison Police Department.
Officials have not yet released the identities of the victims or additional details about the vehicle involved.
